Our Mission

We turn pollution into power. We are committed to lowering the cost and carbon footprint of computing, reducing global greenhouse gas emissions, and providing power generation solutions in the developing world.

The Methane Challenge

Methane is a potent greenhouse gas, with over 25 times the warming effect of carbon dioxide over a 100-year period, making it a major contributor to climate change. Human activities release an estimated 540 million metric tons of methane into the atmosphere each year. Despite its harmful impact, methane holds incredible untapped value—its total global energy potential is so great that it could provide electricity to approximately 78% of the world’s homes.

A Modular Solution

An edge data center is a small, modular facility located close to users for faster processing, lower latency, and improved security. As data from connected devices grows, edge centers are in high demand. Mālama’s micro-data centers are compact, energy-efficient, and housed in shipping containers for easy transport and deployment.

Powering Green Computing

Mālama aims to design, build and deploy portable modular data centers specifically designed to support applications such as AI model training, cold data storage, rendering, block chain applications and natural language processing. These carbon neutral data centers will offer the most rapidly growing, power hungry segments of big computing, a low cost, highly flexible alternative to AWS and large hosting providers.
